Steve Van Wyck - Banjo

Steve has been a lover of all types music forever.  His true love is hard-driving bluegrass and great vocal harmonies. He has been playing banjo since 1985 when he was ten years old. He also plays guitar and enjoys singing; you can hear him on a number of Calabogie Road tunes these days!  Steve has played with a quite a few bands covering all types of music genres',  before finally settling into bluegrass. Some musical influences for Steve are Hot Rize, Lonesome River Band, Tony Rice, JD Crow, Tony Trishka, Elvis and of course his all time favorite - Bob Dylan.
He and his wife love spending time with their family - son Colby and daugher Eliana.  Steve and Colby love to be on the water any chance they can either fishing, swimming, kayaking or just chilling in the sun.  “I love the family feel of Calabogie Road and how we all have a great respect and love for each other.”
