**NEWS** Unfortunately, as of June 1, Calabogie Road has had to cancel their 2024 shows due to health issues among several of their musicians. We are so thankful for all the friends, fans and others who have supported us for the past 15+ years, but can't ensure a quality performance with missing band members. Please check out the '2024 - Looking to the future...?' segment, below.
As veterans of Michigan's Bluegrass scene, going back to 1983 and earlier, the members of Calabogie Road truly enjoy every minute onstage and there is always something for everybody at their concerts. Hot pickin' from Mark's mandolin, Ian's stellar banjo playing, exciting fiddling from Marten, the very best rhythm guitar around from Ruth, and a solid bass line from John make for some exciting shows! Throw in their great harmonies and humor and what have you got? THE CALABOGIE ROAD experience!
UPDATE on CALABOGIE ROAD: Our fiddle player - Marten VanEyk - developed a severe neurological disorder in February. He'd been to four different care centers, including the U of M and Cleveland Clinic, and is now under Hospice Care. Please keep Marten and his family in your prayers. Other members are having health issues which prevent us from practicing and/or even being available for previously-schedule performances. As such, we've had to cancel the remaining handful of 2024 shows.
